David Cope has two decades of experience in the satellite industry and is a specialist in the supply and installation of fixed earth station systems and VSATs. He also has comprehensive skill and knowledge as communications engineer in broadcast transmitter systems and digital terrestrial TV transmission systems. David has extensive knowhow in systems design of fixed earth stations including the preparation of link budgets.
He has been in the area of technical and systems sales throughout his working life. Skills include writing and responding to RFPs, specifying equipment and identifying potential suppliers and partners. His aim is always to deliver against the client’s needs and has the ability to understand the wider requirements of the offered solution in order to fully satisfy the aspirations of the client’s business. David is also experienced with the commercial, financial and logisitical aspects of a project and has the skill set to ensure that implementation proceeds with the minimum of hassle.
Geographically, David has worked on numerous earth station projects in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. These range from small single carrier contribution links through to large, multi-antenna teleports for broadcast, telecom and Internet services.
As a part owner and director of S3 Satcom, David has been instrumental in driving the growth of the company from a small start-up to a multi-million dollar business that is a well-respected market leader in the field of Earth Station Integration.
